Position Description:
Major duties and Responsibilities:
-Under the direct superviSion of the Head of the Field Office, the incumbent will perform the following duties:¬Accountability
-The needs of persons of concern in the country are assessed and
analysed in a participatory manner and using an Age, Gender and
Diversity (AGO) perspective to form a firm basis for planning.
-IP agreements are established in a timely manner, regularly monitored
and reported on in compliance with established guidelines and
procedures.
-Responsibility
-Provide inputs for developing the country operations plan for overall
compliance with global strategic priorities and regional priorities as
well as with annual programming/planning instructions.
-Assist in organizing a consultative process to ensure a consistent
application of the organization's criteria and policies for the
selection of implementing and operational partners.
-Assist in managing the development of a broad network of partners, good
coordination practices and the development of partner capacities.
-Undertake proper collection, monitOring and use of baselines, standards
and indicators needed to measure and analyze UNHCR's performance,
trends and target interventions.
-Undertake field visits to evaluate and improve the planning, programming, implementation and monitoring of assistance projects.
-Assist in implementing the establishment of sound monitoring processes,
in reviewing final reports and on progress in order to advise on any
corrective actions required or the need for additional resources to
reach planned target levels.
-Apply UNHCR's corporate tools (e.g. Global Focus, Focus Client) to
record data and assess the technical soundness of the operation and
generate data for evidence-based decisions at the country-level.
-Assist in keeping donor representatives briefed on developments and
assist in the development of funding submissions, appeals and reports.
Assist in monitoring compliance to the organization's resource
allocation framework, providing support and taking corrective action
where required. Assist in ensuring compliance in issuance of audit
certificates for Implementing Partners.
-Monitor the implementation of IP Risk Management techniques and tools.
-Performs other duties as required.
Authority
-Provide inputs for the country operations plan (including budgets,
staffing levels and structures) as well as prepare inputs for funding
submissions, appeals and reports.
-Enforce compliance with UNHCR's global strategies, protocols and guidelines.
Minimum qualification and desirable requirements:
-National of the United Republic ofTanzania;
-University degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Law,
Economics, Social Science or related field or minimum 6 consecutive
years as a UNHCR General Service staff at the G-6 level or above;
-Completion of specific training relevant to functions of the position;
Knowledge of UNHCR financial rules, procedures and processes; Knowledge
of UNHCR specific programmes (MSRP, Focus, etc); Fluency in English and
Kiswahili (both written and spoken).

Position Description:
Mbeya Urban Water and
Sewerage Authority (Mbeya UWSA) is an autonomous water supply
organization mandated to provide water and sewerage disposal services
within the urban area of Mbeya City. It was established in January 1998
under section 3 (1) of Act No.8 of 1997, repelled by Act No. 12 of 2009.
It was formally in category B Authorities and became fully autonomous
with effect from 1 July 2001. Being in category A means that the
Authority is responsible for meeting all operational cost of the
services rendered including replacement and investment costs. In this
respect, the activities of Mbeya UWSA have specifically expanded. Mbeya
UWSA now invites applications from suitably qualified and skilled
individuals who are dynamic and result oriented.

Supervises: Other junior Internal Auditors
Position Summary
The successful candidate
will be the head of the Internal Audit Unit reporting to the Managing
Director and specifically responsible for providing internal control and
risk management advisory services to the Managing Director and the
Audit Committee for the efficient management of the resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-To co-ordinate all auditing activities in the Authority and to advise the Managing Director on all Financial Control issues.
-To ensure timely
preparation of work programmes for the audit of the departments and
monitoring audit work to ensure efficient execution of work programmes
as prepared,
-To formulate and recommend short and medium term plans of the Internal Audit Office.
-To keep the Managing
Director informed at all times of the progress and problems of the
Internal Audit Office and the whole Authority in relation to audit work.
-To set and continuously
evaluate department's performance with the view of maintaining high
standards and keeping the staff morale high.
-To assess the degree of adherence to Mbeya UWSA's policies and Regulations by different departments.
-To develop comprehensive
strategic audit programmes of Mbeya UWSA with a view to establishing
adherence to established systems. procedures and regulations and
ensuring their accuracy.
-To conduct regular audits
of all offices to ensure that up to date financial records are kept and
approved by the management and accountancy procedures are followed,
-To ensure that the Authority's assets are adequately controlled, safe guarded and insured
-To investigate frauds or
misappropriations committed by staff and reviewing audit reports with
the Authority's external auditors.
-To carrying out systems
audit and analysis to ascertain the effectiveness of established
policies, procedures and plans and where necessary recommending
appropriate improvements.
-To coordinate preparation of risk management policy and risk register and ensure their compliance
-To coordinate activities of internal audit committee and conducting performance audit on appraisal of development projects.
-To prepare and implement strategic Audit plan for Mbeya UWSA.
-To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Managing Director.
Qualification and Experience:
-Holder of a Degree / Advanced Diploma in Accountancy.
-Possession of a masters degree in Finance or Accounting and finance from recognised Institution
-Certified Public
Accounting (CPA - T) and registered with the Institute of Internal
Auditors of Tanzania. Working experience of at least seven (7) years
proven experience as an auditor in a reputable organisation, Good
Written and Communication Skills
-Must be computer literate
-Age limit: Not above 45 years of age.

Water Production Engineer Water Quality Control Assistants
Reports to Supervises
Duties and Responsibilities:
-To 'carry out analysis of raw water and treated water.
-To carry out water sample tests every day to establish the types and quantities to chemicals required for water treatment
-To write reports on water
analysis encountered problems of water quality, electricity and
chemicals and how the problems were solved.
-To make proper analysis of
all types of chemicals, which are required for water treatment and
recommending their purchase and quantity for storage.
-To making analysis of the
purchased chemicals for suitability of water treatment. To ensure that
the right dose of chlorine is administered in water sumps.
-To perform any other duties as may be assigned by Water Production Engineer.
Qualification and Experience:
-FTC/Diploma in Water Laboratory from recognized Technical CoUege Computer literate.
-Working experience as Water Treatment Plant & Water Laboratory is an added advantage.
-Age Limit: Not above 45 years of age.
