Malema was arrested by the high speed unit in the Vaal on the N1.

Economic Freedom Fighters' leader Julius Malema will appear in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of negligent driving and exceeding the speed limit.
Malema was arrested on the N1 in the Vaal Thursday night for driving 215 km/h in a 120 km/h zone.  He was released on bail early on Friday morning.
Gauteng traffic police spokesperson, Obed Sibasa says: “He was arrested driving a BMW and was detained at Barage Police Station in Vanderbijlpark. He has been released on R5 000 bail and will appear in court on Monday.”
Malema has been previously charged with racketeering, money laundering and fraud related to a R52 million tender issued by the Limpopo Roads and Transport Department. At the time, he was the ANC Youth League president.
The decision on whether these charges will be dismissed will only be known in April 2014.
