Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta’s
nephew Mbugua and his fiancée Wahito were both killed in Westgate Mall’s
deadly terrorist attack
Mbugua is a son to Catherine Mwangi, a sister to Beth Mugo who is a first cousin to Presidnet Uhuru, while elder sister, Christine Wambui Pratt, 61 years of age, is among those who were held hostage but got rescued.
Al-Shabab claimed the responsibility of the attack which left at least 59 people dead and 170 others wounded.Uhuru Kenyatta who last night addressed to his nation said he can understand how it feels when a family member among those trapped, rescued, injured and even dead during the attack, confirming that he lost a close family member in the attack.“I ask God to give you comfort as you confront this tragedy, and I know what you feel having also lost very close family member in this deadly attack”, said Uhuru.Somalia’s government condemned the attack and showed a solidarity with fellow Kenyan government.
